We wanted to review some songs here to give both constructive feedback to any new bands that we discuss, but also see what your opinions are of the songs. The first song that we will be taking a look at is “No Problem” by Ex Ømerta, which is a band from Winnipeg, Manitoba.
The song starts off with a very captivating riff from the guitar with a driving beat from the drums. The transition from the first verse to the chorus is a good one with more distortion becoming present. Although the vocals could be a bit louder, the chorus is a great build. The slight pause before the second verse comes in is a great way for the band to grab the attention of the listener and pull them right back into the song, even though the vocals are a little quiet. The second verse feels like the power of the song is building and erupts into the second chorus. The bridge, I guess you could put it, is one that hold the listeners attention without overpowering the greatness of the chorus on either side of it. The outro is a great conclusion to a powerful song.
The only major critique that can be drawn from this is that the vocal mix is slightly too quiet during some parts of the song. It is saved by the emotions are drive of the song.
